Introduction
I found comfort and inspiration in the virtual world during the pandemic, when we were all cooped up in our homes. One person in particular, Tabitha Brown, won my heart and brought joy into my life. I recall excitedly anticipating her videos on Facebook and TikTok, soaking up her contagious optimism, delectable vegan meals, and consoling presence. Her transformation from a vegan TikTok celebrity to a powerful cultural icon has been nothing short of amazing. I couldn’t resist the impulse to taste that Whole Foods BLT sandwich that made her famous. As a long-time vegetarian, she encouraged me to try a plant-based diet, and as a result, I started my journey away from dairy, which at times is really hard. Additionally, I was extremely moved by Tabitha’s inspirational comments since I admired her as a powerful black woman. Who wouldn’t be inspired by a black woman that everything she touches turns to gold, and in the midst of it all she is humble and Thanks God for her many blessings.
